Scale of grades for the Zurich grammar school entrance exam (grade key)

Every year, the Department of Education of the Canton of Zurich establishes a scale of grades for the Zurich grammar school entrance examination (grade key) for the long-term grammar school (LG) and another for the short-term grammar school (SG), specifically for the German language examination and the mathematics examination of the central entrance examination (ZAP) for the grammar school (Gymnasium).

Until 2022, a grading scale was also set for the French exam in the short-term grammar school exam, but since 2023 the French exam has been removed from the ZAP for the short-term grammar school.

Below, we have listed the respective scales of grades for the Zurich grammar school entrance examination for the long-term grammar school and the short-term grammar school, specifically for the years 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.
