Multicheck preparation in Wohlen and Zurich

Published: 30.06.2024, 00:00

The Multicheck preparation course is also offered in Wohlen and Zurich by Lern-Forum, one of the leading Swiss course providers. The Multicheck test is used to determine whether an applicant is suitable for the desired apprenticeship.

Since many apprenticeships cannot be started without a sufficiently successful test, it is all the more advisable to attend a preparation course. This is because in such a course you can practise the Multicheck and increase your chances of achieving a better test result, and thus also your chances of getting the desired apprenticeship.

What is the Multicheck test?

The Multicheck is an aptitude test that must be submitted as part of an application for an apprenticeship at a variety of companies. The test is taken on a computer and, in addition to school knowledge, also tests the following cognitive abilities:

  • Logical thinking
  • Memory
  • Concentration
  • Spatial awareness

There are nine different Multicheck tests in total, depending on the professional area in which you want to complete your training:

  • "Multicheck Attest (EBA)"
  • "Multicheck Retail and Service"
  • "Multicheck Health and Social"
  • "Multicheck Trade"
  • "Multicheck ICT"
  • "Multicheck Media and Design"
  • "Multicheck Pharma and Chemistry"
  • "Multicheck Technical"
  • "Multicheck Economy and Administration"

The duration of the Multicheck test varies between two and four hours.

Over 30,000 Multicheck tests per year

The company behind the Multicheck test is the Swiss service provider Gateway Solutions, which now carries out more than 30,000 Multicheck tests per year. There are more than 50 test centres in Switzerland where you can take the Multicheck test.

The Multicheck test was first introduced in 1996. Today it is the most widely used diagnostic tool of its kind in Switzerland, helping young people and training companies to find the right training course or the right trainee. The companies that use the test include well-known names such as Migros, Coop, UBS, Zürich Insurance Company, Implenia, Gilgen, Swiss Post, Roche and Siemens. However, small and medium-sized companies also require the Multicheck test for apprenticeship applicants.
