Anyone wishing to transfer to a secondary school in the canton of Zurich, i.e. a Grammar School, IT Secondary School (IMS), Commercial Secondary School (HMS), Technical Secondary School (FMS) or Vocational Baccalaureate School (BMS), must take the central entrance examination (ZAP).
