In the Zurich school system, the transition to a gymnasium or a technical school is always subject to a corresponding entrance examination. This so-called Gymiprüfung (gymi exam) usually takes place every year in March, where many thousands of Swiss students have to solve a wide variety of tasks from different subject areas.
