Course cancellation insurance
We recommend the conclusion of a course cancellation insurance. If you already have travel cancellation insurance, course cancellation insurance may already be included. Be sure to check with your insurance carrier if you are not sure.
What is covered by the insurance?
The insurance covers costs incurred by cancellation of a course or by inability to attend due to illness or injury. The costs are covered to the amount listed on the policy. In the case of cancellation or failure to show due to illness, a doctor's note is required. If the cancellation is done in advance due to severe illness or injury, the insurance will cover the proportional costs of unused services. Be sure to read the Terms and Conditions before purchasing the insurance in order to understand the insurance conditions.
How much does the insurance cost?
The insurance costs are between 3.5 % and 4.5 % of the price of the course. More specific information is available on the Allianz website.
How does it work?
If you have to deregister your child from the course or if your child becomes unable to attend, you will have to pay the cancellation fees listed in our Terms and Conditions.
Then, you can contact your insurance, which will refund you these fees if you meet the requirements of the policy (e.g. severe illness on the part of the child).
What is the deadline for purchasing insurance?
You do not need to buy insurance at the same time you register for a course. We recommend purchasing insurance at least 30 days before the course begins. The important thing is that you have insurance before the reason for cancellation occurs. Naturally, you cannot purchase insurance once your child is already feeling ill.
Where and how can I purchase insurance?
You can take out the insurance quickly and easily on the Allianz website. .
Check with your travel cancellation insurance. Mostly the financial risks are insured in case of course cancellation.
Sick at the start of the course
It is annoying when a child falls ill just before the start of a course. An illness does not hit all children equally hard, some are more sensitive than others. While some children survive a flu without any problems, others are weakened for weeks. For such cases, a course cancellation insurance is a good solution. This will compensate you for the costs incurred by a cancellation if your child cannot attend the course due to illness
