Preparation for the Gymnasium entrance exam is a busy time for students. Besides the regular challenges of school life, students are now faced with several hours of studying for the exam. Many children don't have time to visit a weekly prep course in addition to preparing for the exam at school.
If this is the case, exam preparation with milestones can help. Students use the tried and tested Lern-Forum learning materials and customised learning videos to revise independently for the exam. Students can then check their progress every 4 weeks (4x total) on milestone course days.
Flexible Gymnasium prep with milestones
In our "Gymi prep with milestones" course, students use Lern-Forum's tried-and-tested course materials.
Even when students are studying independently or with help from their parents, it is important for them to receive regular feedback about their progress from experienced teachers.

The milestone program
Students receive a course folder with the tried and tested Lern-Forum materials in paper format. This lets them prepare independently and flexibly at their own home. For further assistance, students can access our customised instructional videos explaining individual practice problems.
To check their learning progress, students attend a milestone lesson every 4 weeks (four times total). On these days, students’ progress is measured through milestone tests and an essay prompt. Participants immediately find out whether their studying has been effective and in which topics they should invest more time. In addition, the learning objectives that will be tested during the next milestone lesson are explained, and students can ask questions.
The famous Lern-Forum Simulation Exam at the Zürich University of Continuing Education completes the preparation perfectly. Students experience the test process exactly as it will be on the day of the actual exam and receive reliable feedback on their efforts.
In addition to the practice problems, students receive access to numerous videos that competently explain the material and are easy to understand.
With the help of the instructional videos, students can reach their learning objectives for the exam independently and then deepen their understanding with the practice problems. Both the practice problems and the videos are specifically tailored towards the exam.
In order to pass the actual exam, students must learn how to cope with the nervousness and uncertainty they may feel during test situations.
Our simulation examallows course participants to experience the exam process and get a clear idea of what to expect on the day of the actual exam. This way students are not surprised by an unfamiliar situation and can prepare accordingly.
