The written exam for Gymnasium is over, and the long wait for results has begun.
- Students with good incoming marks who did equally well on the exam may enter Gymnasium without the oral exam.
- When good exam results follow mediocre school marks, the Gymnasiums use an additional oral exam to determine whether students just got lucky or if they actually have the necessary motivation and work ethic to meet the challenges of a Gymnasium education.
- If the opposite occurs (good marks, poor exam results) the oral exam gives student another chance to prove themselves.
Simulated oral exam:
- Mathematics - solving and explaining problems
- German - comprehension and grammar
- French - comprehension, reading, specific dialogue and grammar
We also practise proper behaviour, how to present yourself and what to do when you don't know the answer. We tell students clearly what they need to look out for and how they can improve.
We have already assisted many students with our tips and hints.
Feedback und evaluation
Students receive an evaluation so that they know the exam works, what is important to the examiner and how their performance is assessed.
Oral exam simulation with subject teachers
The students will be examined by subject teachers. They are familiar with oral exam questioning and can give tips and test a student's potential.
